This party was referred to as ASOT 550, Los Angeles at the event called Beyond Wonderland presented by Insomniac Events. The lineup for this event was crazy and was hugely highly spoken of because of Armin van Buurens ASOT 550 show. The A State of Trance stage hosted (in order of appearance): Fei-Fei, Shogun, Sied van Riel, John O'Callaghan, Aly & Fila, Arty, Gareth Emery & Armin van Buuren (AvB). The other stages had massive lineups as well with headliners ATB, AN21 & Max Vangeli, Dirty South, Hardwell, Netsky, Andy C: Alive, High Contrast, Magnetic Man, MistaJam, Steve Aoki, Sidney Samson, John Digweed, Dubfire & many, many more. Together, they fight winter with 'The Other Side' EP on the Soundpiercing label! Sweden's got some beats to serve. One of its offspring, is young talent Andreas Lindell. He made his debut on the A State of Trance label in 2009, with 'Blade Runner', followed by the melodic 'Spirit' in 2010. At the eve of 2012, he invites Alex Robert for a three track adventure on Soundpiercing. 'The Other Side' is a gentle, melodically flowing piece of music, tender at first, but kicking in right after the break. In Cape Town he dropped the track to the crowd when Armin switched to the main room live stream on the radio while Leon was playing - later on Armin asked what the official title was, so they could put it in the official tracklisting. That's when they decided to give the track the title 'Cape Town'. Afterwards 'Cape Town' became Tune of the Week on the ASOT radioshow and all in all has been played for 10 times during the ASOT celebrations and the shows in between. Ever since it has been picked up by Ferry Corsten, Sander van Doorn, Markus Schulz, Bobina and Above & Beyond who all played it in their radio show and on the road multiple times. Needless to say, this is going to be a big one for Leon and his Streamlined imprint. Possibly one of the biggest trance records of 2011!
